Beijer Alma’s subsidiary Beijer Tech acquires UPH in Finland

Beijer Tech signed an agreement today, February 25, 2025, to acquire the assets in Uudenmaan Painehuolto Oy (“UPH”), a Finnish distributor and maintenance company.

UPH is a distributor and maintenance company offering compressed air equipment and related services to customers in the industrial sector in Finland. The company has solid experience within its field and is known for its high-quality and customer-oriented approach. UPH is headquartered in Vantaa, Southern Finland and has six employees. UPH has annual revenue of approximately EUR 3.3 million, with good profitability.

The acquisition is in line with Beijer Alma’s model for value-adding acquisitions and Beijer Tech’s strategy of acquiring profitable companies in attractive niches with good growth potential and high value-add.

Beijer Tech’s President, Staffan Johansson, comments on the transaction: “UPH is a well-managed company with extensive expertise in various maintenance tasks related to compressed air equipment. The company will become a strong complement to our current compressor business in AVS and add to our aftermarket service offering. This acquisition demonstrates Beijer Tech’s ambition to grow our current businesses with value-adding add-on acquisitions. I look forward to seeing the combined companies continue to grow.”

The former owner and CEO, Mika Husso, will continue working with the compressor business within AVS. He also comments on the transaction: “We are pleased with how UPH has developed thus far. Our commitment to delivering high-quality and customer-focused services has established us as a trusted partner in the industry. I am confident that under the ownership of Beijer Tech and as part of AVS, we will continue to thrive and expand our capabilities.”

Through the transaction, Beijer Tech through its subsidiary AVS-Yhtiöt Oy will acquire the assets in UPH with closing expected in March 2025. The company will be part of Beijer Tech’s Fluid Technology business area. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
